About

Some cases stay with you.

Not because they’re the most shocking, or the most widely covered – but because something about them cuts deeper. The psychology of it. The question that lingers long after the verdict: how does a person get there?

That’s the question Crime and Psyche was built to answer.

Who is behind Crime and Psyche?

I’m Drea – a true crime researcher and storyteller based in Europe. I started Crime and Psyche because I was tired of true crime content that treated cases like entertainment without ever asking the harder questions. The ones about human behaviour, warning signs, the patterns that show up again and again in cases of intimate partner violence, premeditated harm, and psychological manipulation.

Every case I cover, I approach the same way: what happened, yes – but more importantly, why. What does the psychology tell us? What can we learn? And what should we have seen coming?

What you’ll find here

This blog is the written companion to the Crime and Psyche YouTube channel. Every post goes deeper than the video – fuller timelines, psychological analysis, key figures, and the kind of detail that deserves more than a ten-minute runtime.

Cases covered here include intimate partner violence, cold cases, high-profile trials, and the stories of survivors who fought back. Always with the victim’s humanity at the centre.
